Three New Sephardic Holiday Booklets, Available to the Entire Community!

Writer: Magazine StaffMagazine Staff

We were thrilled to announce three new Sephardic Holiday Booklets for Rosh ‘Ashana, Hanukkah, and Frutikas - Tu Bishevat this Fall and Winter. These special booklets, a national collaboration between the Rabbis and lay leaders of our 12 affiliate communities, is an exciting new resource for our Ladino-speaking Sephardic Community, with step by step guidance for each of these holidays conducted in the Sephardic tradition. Each Booklet includes the specific blessings and prayers in Hebrew for the holidays, transliterations, English translations, Ladino translations, and the full Birkat Ammazon and Ya Komimos blessings.

The booklet also features a special set of Sephardic recipes from community members around the world, and beautiful holiday songs in Hebrew, English, and Ladino. Importantly, the digital version of our Booklets have clickable links to the recordings of the blessings read on Rosh 'Ashana, Hanuka, and Tu Bishevat through our Zemirot.org database, so that everyone can have the opportunity to study and learn the tunes of our communities. We hope this will help each and every one of you have a meaningful and uplifting holiday experience, rich in the customs and traditions of our Sephardic Community.

We want to take a moment to once again thank the Villareal Family for sponsoring the print version of the Rosh ‘Ashana Booklet as well as Clifton Russo, David & Terry Azose, and Richard & Judith Matza for sponsoring the print Sephardic Hanuka Guide.
