We’ve had a packed Fall and Winter of activities in the NYC Metropolitan Area! Our season was highlighted by a vibrant Sephardic Young Professionals Hanukkah Party in New York City, which brought together over 100 participants for an evening of celebration, culture, and community. The program featured live Greek and Israeli music by Avram Pengas, creating an energetic and joyful atmosphere. Guests enjoyed homemade Sephardic bimuelos and keftikas, showcasing the warmth and flavors of our culinary traditions while strengthening connections among young adults in the community.
As winter continues, we are excited to host local Frutikas – Tu BiShevat Seders across the region. These include a Young Professionals Tu BiShevat Seder in New York and a Young Families Tu BiShevat Seder in New Jersey. Both programs will feature the Brotherhood’s Tu BiShevat Seder booklet, with meaningful recitations in Hebrew, Ladino, and English, highlighting the richness and accessibility of Sephardic tradition for participants of all ages and backgrounds.

Looking ahead, we have many exciting programs planned for the Spring. Our schedule will include community Purim parties, bringing together families and young adults for festive celebration, as well as the annual Greek Jewish Festival in May, a signature event celebrating Greek Jewish heritage through food, music, and communal gathering.
We look forward to continuing to build vibrant Sephardic Jewish life in the NYC metro area through programs that blend tradition, culture, and community.
