This Spring, Sephardic life in the NYC Metropolitan Area continues to flourish with vibrant energy and meaningful connection.
We closed out the winter season with wonderful Tu BiShevat Frutikas Seders across the region, including a Young Professionals Seder in New York and a Young Families Seder in New Jersey. Using the Brotherhood’s Tu BiShevat Seder booklet, participants engaged in beautiful recitations in Hebrew, Ladino, and English, celebrating our deep connection to the land and the richness of Sephardic tradition. These gatherings brought together multiple generations in a warm and spirited atmosphere.
Our community Purim celebrations brought families and young adults together for festive evenings filled with delicious foods, costumes, and Sephardic spirit. These joyful gatherings continue to strengthen bonds and create lasting memories across our growing network.
We are especially excited for one of the signature Spring events in the NYC Area - the annual Greek Jewish Festival on Sunday May 17th — a beloved celebration of Greek Jewish heritage featuring traditional foods, lively music, and dynamic communal gathering. This festival remains one of the highlights of our year, proudly showcasing the beauty and vitality of the Romaniote and Sephardic traditions of Greece to the broader community.
As always, our mission remains clear: to build vibrant Sephardic Jewish life throughout the NYC metropolitan area through programs that seamlessly blend tradition, culture, and community. We invite you to stay connected and involved. Visit sephardicbrotherhood.com and read our weekly La Boz Sefaradi – The Sephardic Voice for updates on all upcoming local and national events.
